Carmen Thyssen Andorra Museum and Andorran Credit present "Talents with a Designation of Origin. From Rigalt to Puigdengolas ".
The fifth exhibition to be hosted by the art gallery from 12/02/2021 to 9/01/2022. Throughout the year you will have the chance to discover a selection of paintings from the Andorran Credit Art Collection, created in 1987, which will be accompanied by works from the Carmen Thyssen Collection.
The exhibition will survey the work of Catalan artists from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, painters who trained together or who created their own school. The exhibition selection aims to show the similarities and differences between Catalan painters from this period, the most singular styles and the affinities in their work. Thanks the Andorran Credit Art Collection contribution, the Carmen Thyssen Andorra Museum opens its doors to a new exhibition that brings together paintings by the great Catalan masters that form part of the Andorran collection.
These works, witnesses to the golden age of Catalan painting, represented a shift away from accepted artistic conventions of the time. Nevertheless, they are still a key reference point for understanding how values and culture were transmitted from past generations to modern times and current trends.
